Vanishing Trio — how to play
Three active marks; the oldest disappears.
Players: 1–2. The available modes are selected inside the game.
Objective
Put three of your marks in a line — horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Rules and controls
- You take turns, but you only ever have three active marks.
- On your fourth and every later move your oldest mark disappears; small numbers show the order, 1 is the oldest.
- The mark with a dashed border labelled „Vanishes” is removed after your move — you cannot place a new mark on it in the same turn.
- In Computer mode you play X against O, locally two players share one device, online a room code or link is enough.
Your first match
Place three marks and inspect the numbers that show their age. When you place a fourth, the oldest mark disappears. Plan a line around the square that is about to become empty again.
What to watch for
A standard tic-tac-toe threat fails if it depends on the mark that will vanish. Before clicking, look for the “Will vanish” outline and count the three marks that will remain after your move.
Practical tips
- Count in turns: a move that loses your oldest mark usually wrecks your own threat.
- Starts alternate in later rounds — the first move can be worth more than a pretty shape.
