Roof Volleyball — how to play
Rooftop volleyball: serve, use up to three touches on your side and send the ball over the net. Play to 10 points against the computer, locally or online.
Players: 1–2. The available modes are selected inside the game.
Objective
Keep the ball off your own rooftop and land it on the rival side; the first to ten points wins.
Rules and controls
- Neon (left): A / D to move, W to jump, left Shift to swing. Sunset (right): arrows, up to jump, Enter or right Shift.
- Online you open a room with a code or an invite link: the server scores the rally while you steer your half of the roof.
- The ball ricochets off the walls and the ceiling — there are no out-of-bounds calls, but a touch of the deck ends the rally.
- Your half gets three touches: the fourth touch is a fault and a point for the rival.
- The net tape hangs high above the deck — a flat shot smacks into it, so lift the ball early.
- Whoever scores serves: the ball floats above the server's head and the serve starts with a swing.
- Every return adds to the rally — the longer it runs, the faster and sloppier the ball flies.
Your first match
On the easiest computer level, practise serving: the ball waits above the server’s head, and a swing starts the rally. Move beneath the falling ball and send it high enough to clear the net. Your side has at most three touches.
What to watch for
A low, fast hit often stops at the net. A fourth touch gives the point away. Walls and ceiling keep the ball in play, so follow its path after it rebounds from an edge.
Practical tips
- Stand under the ball, not beside it: read the arc first, because a jump without position is worthless.
- The computer level can be changed mid-match — Easy is there to rehearse the serve.
