Rim Rush — how to play
One-on-one street basketball: play against the computer at three difficulty levels or with two local players.
Objective
Score more baskets than your rival; the first player to ten points takes the concrete.
Rules and controls
- Volt (left): A / D to move, W to jump, left Shift to shoot or steal. Flare (right): arrows, up to jump, Enter or right Shift.
- The ball rides in your hands: hold the shoot button to gather power, release it to let the arc go.
- A basket beyond the arc counts 2 points, close range counts 1; after a made shot the ball goes to the rival.
- The shot clock runs eight seconds — past that the possession hands over to the opponent.
- Steals only work on a chance: the rival must be loading power or hanging in the air, and the ball only comes loose on part of the attempts. A block needs a real leap into the shooter's arms.
- A miss leaves the ball live on the concrete: whoever steps into it first takes it, nobody is handed the possession by a whistle.
Practical tips
- Do not reach in right after an inbound — the ball is protected for a moment and the punish cooldown is long.
- Driving to the rim and finishing close is the safest two; from behind the arc, nail the release moment.
- You cannot grab your own miss instantly: half a second of lock and the ball has to travel out of your hands.
