Cipher Mosaic — how to play
Use the clues after each attempt to uncover a hidden code. Solve puzzles solo or challenge an opponent in a one-on-one duel.
Objective
Recover the hidden code in as few attempts as possible — the server answers with two numbers only.
Rules and controls
- Pick a difficulty: from 2 to 30 positions and from 2 to 30 values. The leaderboard category is values × positions, e.g. 4×6 gives 24.
- Click the guess fields and check: exact means the right value in the right place, shifted means the right value in the wrong place.
- The hint never says which fields it refers to, and every code element can only be counted once.
- The empty cell (Ø) is a value just like the colours and may repeat as well.
Practical tips
- The padlock on a field carries its value into the next guess — it is your notebook, not confirmation from the game.
- Higher in the leaderboard stands the player with fewer attempts, and on a tie the faster time.
